Brett Favre will be reinstated and added to the Green Bay Packers' active roster Monday. The NFL announced the move Sunday after commissioner Roger Goodell had held off on granting Favre's request for reinstatement for nearly a week, hoping Favre and the team could resolve their standoff. By reinstating Favre, Goodell is following through on a recent promise to force action.

The reinstatement will become effective at 1 p.m. EDT on Monday.

Well, it looks like Favre is back with the Pack and will be given every oppurtunity to regain the starting role at this point in time.

Whoa, whoa guys. Brett Farve is and alwyas will be one of the greatest QBs the NFL has ever and will ever have. Yes the drama is annoying, and getting very very old but as much as I hated seeing him beat us every year, I think he deserves some respect. The Packers aren't shit without him. So...not really sure why they are so quick to dismiss him. I say let him play until he's ready to "retire" haha. Seriously though, I don't give a shit what he does in his own time, he was a great QB. You ever think that maybe his wife talked back alot? (kidding)

Will he be in a Jets jersey for the cover of Madden?

I don't think Favre knows what he just got himself into. He looks like a lost child in all of the publicity shots.

Man it will be nice to not have to face on of the greatest QBs in league history twice a year...

Brett Favre is not one of the greatest quarterbacks in league history. Yes, he won a Super Bowl. So did Trent Dilfer. He was way too prone to turnovers. He's not in a league with contemporaries such as Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Dan Marino, Joe Montana, Matt Hasselbeck, and Donovan McNabb.

The Packers may be worse than they were last year. They may only win 8 or 9 games this season. They were going to fall off if Favre was their quarterback anyways. They'll be no worse without Favre than they would have been with him. Expect the Jets to go 5-11 this season.
