Last week ol' Roy was on ESPN-FM 103.3. Here's a what he had to say:

“I mean, I was there until we were 0-5, I think," Williams said Friday morning on ESPN's "Mike and Mike in the Morning," based in Tampa this week for the Super Bowl.

"You know," Williams continued, "we still had a chance to be in the playoffs at 0-5. Guys were still working. I think, actually, Detroit works harder than Dallas on the practice field. I don’t know why it doesn’t transition to the game field on Sunday."

I know why it doesn't transition onto the game field. Its because there wasn't enough talent. Practice and hard work help - it will bring you to that next level - but without the talent your already a step behind.

That really makes me wonder... Why are the Lions so bad? Talent is a factor, but 0-16? If they really did practice harder, then I would think that they would be able to win a few games. In my eyes it had to be the coaching - mostly the schemes and play calling. And if that is the case; maybe with the new coaching staff things can get turned around quicker than expected.

I hope so, but I'm not counting on it.
